The crusty truth about lifting
My hands paid the price
Sixteen years of lifting. Sixteen years of ripped palms, callus build up and accepting shredded hands as part of the game.
Gloves are clunky. Straps take too long. Chalk is messy business.
None of them fixed my actual problem.
Then my body said no
Recurrent wrist pain took me out of the gym for weeks at a time, and I found out I have hypermobile joints and an autoimmune condition that also affects my joints.
Straps just transferred more force onto joints that couldn't take it. And during flare ups, wrestling gloves on wasn't happening... I didn't have the dexterity or strength.
I needed something easy on, easy off, and actually effective. Not another thing to fight with.
so I built it for us!
So I made the thing I actually needed. No wrapping, no five minute set up, just grip and go.
Grip Shields exist because I refused to choose between training hard and having hands that could pick up my water bottle without screaming the next day.
If your hands have paid a price too, you're already one of us.
